Akhoullou Turns a Set

Christophe De Meulder raised to 375,000 from the button and Samir Akhoullou three-bet to 1,000,000. De Meulder glanced at Akhoullou and called.

The flop came 6♣7♦9♥, Akhoullou continued with a bet of 800,000 which De Meulder called.

They both checked through the T♦ on the turn to the J♣ on the river to complete the board. Akhoullou fired another 1,000,000 bet over the line and De Meulder tanked. He grabbed some purple 500,000-value chips and started riffling them. He stared at Akhoullou and the board several times, then cut out two of the purple chips and put them in as a call.
