Blom Explodes

Petra van Vugt has taken a huge hit, doubling up fellow Dutchie Michel Blom.

It seems that van Vugt raised preflop and then called a three-bet from Blom in position. They saw a :::5h :::Td :::3h flop and van Vugt bet out 20,000. Blom made it 45,000, van Vugt set him in, and they were on their backs.

Van Vugt: :::6d :::6s for a pair of sixes
Blom: remember that preflop three-bet? :::5s :::3d for flopped two pair

Turn and river, respectively: :::Ks and :::2c

Blom’s double up was massive – to an almost-double-the-average 175,000. Van Vugt was left with 185,000 – still doing just fine, thank you very much, but nowhere near as much as she had before.
