Ladies and gentlemen of the internet, we are all out of Day Ones!
Today saw 134 players pay their money and take their chances in this Unibet Open, bringing the total number of runners to 242. They have generated a prizepool of €363,000 and we will be paying out 36 places with a min-cash coming in at €2,468 and the eventual winner taking home a cool €80,187. Please see the payouts page for more info.
The chip leader from Day 1b is Diogo Cardoso on 149,300 – but that doesn’t even come close to the ma-hoosive stack of Day 1a chip leader Michiel Brummelhuis who finished yesterday on 235,500 – straight up double the stack of the next man. Brummelhuis will most likely be feeling pretty confident come tomorrow morning.
Other players who made it through today include Mateusz Moolhuizen (103,000), Andrei Vlassenko (90,000) and Mikael Johansson (56,300). Tomorrow they will join the 50-something (official numbers coming soon) Day 1b survivors along with the 40 who made it through Day 1a when we return for Day 2 at 12.30pm. This tournament is about to get very serious indeed. Until then – it’s boa noite from all of us here at Unibet Open Tróia.
