De Boom Builds up Stack

Tom De Boom raised to 13,000 from the cutoff and was called by Vincent Verdickt in the big blind. Verdickt finished as the runner-up last year and will be trying to win this year instead.

The flop came Q♣9♠4♣ and Verdickt check-called the 13,000 continuation-bet of De Boom.

They both checked through the 9♦ on the turn to the T♦ on the river on which they both checked again. Verdickt tabled 6♠4♠  for two pair, sixes and fours, but was beaten by the J♠J♦ of De Boom who held the higher two pair to take his stack up to 590,000.
