De Smedt & Phurbu Depart

A very fast start to the final two tables action has seen both Gill De Smedt and Tsering Phurbu (pictured) exit.

De Smedt was first to go and departed to collect €2,370 in 16th place before Phurbu was unfortunate to lose at the hands of Justin Herboldt.

Herboldt raised to 115,000 from the button, and after Phurbu shoved for 385,000 from the small blind, he called.

Herboldt held 9x8x and hit top pair against Phurbu’s KxQx when the flop fell 9x7x5x.

The Jx turn and Jx river were no help to Phurbu, and he exited in 15th place for €2,650.
