Double Double

Here are a couple double ups I witnessed just before the break; full chip counts from right now will up in the chip counts section shortly…

Laszlo Golya pushed from the button over the top of a raise from Stieven Razab-Sekh but it was Nicolas Dervaux who unexpectedly called all in from the small blind and Razab-Sekh got out of their way. Dervaux’ :::9h :::9d held firm against Golya’s :::Ah :::Kd on the :::9s :::Ad :::Tc :::7s :::6h board and he doubled up – although on 34,000 after the event he is arguably not yet out of the woods. Still, he’s doing rather better than Golya, who is down to 13,000.

Meanwhile Carlos Oliveira was short enough that Piotr Kula felt it was worth calling his shove with :::Ks :::Js. Unfortunately for him, Oliveira was holding :::Ad :::Ac and once the board had run out :::4d :::5s :::Ah :::5d Oliveira doubled up to 34,000. Kula is still doing just fine, though, on 85,000.
