Joseph Wertz is leading the 44 players who have made it through Day 1a of the European Open at Wynn Las Vegas. Wertz is no stranger to Vegas as he cashed twice during the WSOP earlier this year. The American pro has 305,500 chips. Wertz’s biggest cash came at the 2013 WSOP Circuit – Atlantic City Main Event when he took home $112,615.
Wertz is followed in the chip counts by Casey Stewart with 280,000 chips, who cashed in the Wynn Spring Classic earlier this year. Texas’s Rex Clinkscales is next in the chip count with 249,500. Clinkscales’s total live earnings to date are over $1,2m. Vegas-local professional Matthew Levine is fourth in chips with 246,000. Levine is at home in the Wynn’s new poker room having cashed three times Wynn Casino Recurring Tournaments in August.
