Fried But Not Completely Battered

_DSC0027.jpgFried Meulders moved all in under the gun for around 190,000, and to his immediate left Quentin Lecomte reshoved. Everyone else got out of their way, and they were on their backs.

But it wasn’t over. The board ran out :::Jc :::4d :::Tc :::6d :::2c to double up the Belgian to around 400,000, leaving the young Frenchman Lecomte with 170,000 – little more than 10 big blinds.

A few hands later, though, and the tables were turned. Meulders opened to 32,000 and Lecomte went all in. It folded back around to Meulders who considered it for a moment, and then made the call.

This time Lecomte’s hand held – the board ran out :::3c :::2c :::7d :::4h :::3d, and he doubled back up to 280,000. Meulders must have won another hand or two inbetween, as he is now on 330,000 or so.
