Gabel and Ram Clash

Just after Pieter Ram had eliminated Matthijs Baudewijn, Ram raised to 1,200 from the button when he saw that the rest of the table had folded. Vincent Gabel was sitting in the big blind and there was a dead small blind. Gabel called.

The flop brought them the A♣3♣7♥ and Gabel check-called the 1,000 continuation-bet of Ram

The turn came with the J♠ and Gabel check-called again, now for the bet of 3,000.

The river completed the board with the 9♣, Gabel checked for the last time. Ram fired another 12,000 over the line without hesitating and Gabel called immediately.

Gabel showed A♠7s for the flopped two pair but was beaten by the A♦J♣ of Ram who had turned the higher two pair to take down the pot.
