Nine minutes.
That’s how long Stephen Bean just took to make up his mind on the turn in a big pot against Clement Tripodi. In the end it looked like he was going to make the call, but things went the other way when a player at the table called the clock on him.
The situation was as following, as the board showed :::6s:::4h:::7c:::5h. Frenchman Tripodi was all in when we arrived on the scene, and with 86,000 chips in the middle his shove was for 36,300.
While Bean was making up his mind Tripodi sat in silence. Just when Bean was putting together the exact amount of chips for the call the clock was called on him. Bean looked back down on his cards and folded :::Th:::7h face up.
Tripodi smiled and showed :::Qh:::2h for a better flush draw, but without a pair.
Tripodi bumped his stack up to 130,000 chips while Bean was left behind with 90,000 chips.
