Hitting the Rudwall
Three players made it as far as the turn of the :::4s :::Qs :::2d :::9c board. In the big blind position, Jens Neumann bet out 6,300. In mid position, Jan Petras called; in the cutoff, Karl Rudwall called too.
They saw a :::4s river and this time it checked around to Rudwall. He bet 18,100 into the roughly 35,000 pot, and Neumann quickly folded. Petras, however, disappeared into the tank for a long, long time. Eventually the clock was called – but within seconds of the floorman arriving, he had called.
Petras: :::Kd :::Qd for the winning hand
Rudwall: flashed :::Jc :::Tc for a speculative straight draw on the turn that never came in
Petras is now at right around 100,000. Rudwall was left with 35,000.
