Katja Doesn’t Land on Her Feet

The board read :::Ad :::Tc :::Ks :::8s when I arrived and Katja Kukkasjarvi was quietly announcing all in. Krzysztof Stuchlik announced a call, and they turned their cards over.

Kukkasjarvi just sat there, and it was only when the dealer started to push the pot across to Stuchlik that she piped up, “Oh! I didn’t see. I thought it was two jacks. I was obviously afraid of that.” Quite impressive honesty, for a poker player. Anyway, Kukkasjarvi is out, just a couple painful places off the money.
