Former Unibet Open Player of the Year, Tim Verbon, just lost a very interesting pot to Nuno Capucho. The action started when Capucho raised to 225 and the player in the small blind called. Verbon was seated in the big blind with :::6c :::3c and he decided to call as well.
The flop brought out :::8h :::9c :::4c and the small blind lead out for 425. Verbon opted to call and so did Capucho. On the turn the :::Ah hit put another flush draw out there and the small blind checked. Verbon fired out 1,550 and now Capucho raised it up to 4,000. The player in the small blind folded and Verbon decided to call with his flush draw.
On the river the :::Qd hit and Verbon decided to check to Capucho who checked as well. Verbon had just six high with a four kicker while Capucho turned over a hand not much stronger, he had :::7x :::6x for a missed straight draw. Verbon lost the pot with a better six and was knocked down to 15,000 chips. Capucho is now sitting on 25,000.
