Lavrov on the Up
We’re down below 60 players now, which means of course that more than half of these fine folks will be getting paid before the day is out.
Latest to crash into the rail is Arto Pihlaja who pushed all in from the cutoff over the top of a raise from Maksym Lavrov. Lavrov took ages over his decision but eventually made the call with :::Ad :::9s; Pihlaja turned over :::Kd :::Jc. The first card out of the deck was an ace, the board running out :::7h :::9d :::Ac :::6c :::3h, which put paid to Pihlaja’s tournament hopes.
Lavrov, who finished fifth back at Unibet Open St Maarten, is among the chip leaders on 350,000 with the average stack currently at around 140,000.
