Steven van Nimwegen raised to 22,000 from mid-position and was called by Kris Leppens in the hijack.
The flop brought them the A♣2♥6♠ and Van Nimwegen continued with a bet of 22,000 which Leppens called again.
The turn brought them the 9♠ and Van Nimwegen’s continuation-bet of 27,000 was called again by Leppens.
The river completed the board with the 5♣, Van Nimwegen now decided to slow down and check. Leppens hesitated for a while, counted out 50,000 in red chips and put them over the line as a bet. Van Nimwegen nodded and grabbed a stack of chips to put square off against Leppen’s bet for the call.
Leppens flipped over A♠A♥ for the flopped set of aces. Van Nimwegen looked on disbelievingly and flicked the A♦ open to show he had the pair of aces. Leppens just quietly stacked up his newly acquired chips which would take him to around 300,000.
