Magnusson Doubles Up
After what seemed like an interminable spell of inaction on the outer table, we got to see a showdown.
The chips went in preflop, Adam Magnusson the player at risk with :::Ad :::Qh against Aleksandr Konstantinov’s :::Kd :::Jc. The flop made Magnusson two pair but also brought a gutshot draw for Konstantinov; it didn’t come in (board: :::Ac :::8h :::Qc :::2d :::9c) and Magnusson doubled up to around 350,000.
Incidentally, Lauri Meidla is down to just about 300,000 after losing a big pot to Konstantinov earlier when the latter flopped a Broadway straight.
