Moolhuizen Tripped Up

Matteusz Moolhuizen opened to 500 and got one sole caller in the shape of the gentleman in the small blind. They saw a :::9h :::8d :::Td flop which they both checked, and proceeded to the turn – the :::Jc. Mr. Small Blind checked again but this time Moolhuizen bet 700. Mr. Small Blind gave him a piercing stare, and then made the call.

The river came down the :::Ts and Mr. Small Blind checked a third time. This time Moolhuizen checked behind, and was presumably glad that he did when Mr. SB turned over A-T for trips. Moolhuizen could only boast A-4, which he tabled with a defeated shrug.

Moolhuizen is now only a shade above his starting stack on 21,500.
