Murariu Busts Newport

Nicholas Newport, who finished 4th at the record-breaking Estrellas Main Event in Barcelona earlier this year, has become the latest victim of the hot run of Dan Murariu. Newport raised to 1,200 from the hijack and Murariu three-bet to 3,600 on the button, Murariu called.

Both players checked the :::7c:::6c:::3d flop and Newport then bet the {10h} turn for 4,000, Murariu called. On the :::5h river, Newport shoved for around 14,000 with the :::As{10s} for top pair and Murariu snap-called with :::8s:::4s for the straight.
