No Big Blind Special for Riva

Sam Polo Riva defended his big blind against the raise of Carlo Mark from under the gun. A raising war broke out of the flop :::6s:::5h:::8h and it soon became evident why the stacks went in:

Riva: :::7h:::9c for a flopped straight
Mark: :::5c:::5s for bottom set

The :::8d turn immediately shut down all hopes of Riva and a meaningless {10c} river completed the board. The dealer proceeded to count the stacks and then informed Riva that he was covered, which was quit with a "yeah I know," a sip from the drink and a long sigh.
