Ostbjerg Looking Good For Another Deep Run

We just witnessed one of the first very big pots of the day between Unibet Open Copenhagen runner up Johnny Ostbjerg and Tiago Dias. The action started with a raise to 400 and both Ostbjerg and Dias made the call. Yori Epskamp called from the big blind and the flop brought out :::Qs :::7d :::Ts and the action was cehcked to Ostbjerg. The Dane fired out 1,100 and Dias raised it up to 3,500.

Ostbjerg was not done raising yet and put in three-bet to 8,200. Dias tanked for a bit before making moving all in.

“Wow,” Ostbjerg said as he stood up and started counting his chips. He had about 25,000 chips left behind in case he would decide to fold.

“Let’s have some fun, I’m all in” Ostbjerg finally said as a huge pot was created.

Ostbjerg: :::Ks :::Js
Dias: :::Ac :::Qd

The board ran out, :::Kc, :::5s and Ostbjerg doubled up. The dealer initially miscounted the Dane’s stack but after the tournament director reconstructed the pot all players agreed that Ostbjerg did have more than 30,000 chips. He’s now sitting on around 67,000 chips and is one of the chip leaders.
