Over a Barrault

Anders Nordbaek opened to 1,350 under the gun and across the table Laure Barrault flat called.

They saw an :::8s :::Ac :::5s flop and Nordbaek bet out 2,700; again, Barrault flat-called. They proceeded to the turn – the :::4s – and this time Nordbaek tanked for a while before betting out 5,300. Just a second or two passed before Barrault flat-called once again.

The river came down the :::Jc and this time Nordbaek asked Barrault how much she had left (answer = less than 10,000). He set her in with a purple T10,000 chip.

Barrault now tanked up for some minutes, weighing up her options. Finally she folded, leaving herself with not that much room to manoeuvre at this hefty blind level, nd flashing the :::As. “I think you were behind until the river,” she told him, “I think you had jack-jack.”

“I think you were behind all the way,” retorted Nordbaek good-naturedly. He’s now at over 60,000.
