Petra’s No Rock

We would like to take this opportunity to mention the extraordinary run of online qualifier Ms. Petra van Vugt. If you remember, she was down to just 3,000 or so early in the day, and we feared that she was not long for this tournament. But she rallied, and not only is she still in this tournament, but she is now one of the bigger stacks on 75,000 after knocking out Alain Makarian. She is seated at the end of a row of three Dutch powerhouses currently – to her immediate right is Unibet Open Malta champion Matteusz Moolhuizen, and to his right is van Vugt’s fellow comeback merchant Pieter de Korver.
