Power Poker From Espensen

As the blinds and antes are becoming bigger and bigger the value of picking up pots uncontested increases exponentially. We just spotted Ronnie Espensen in a big hand with Markus Ristola where the former eventually ended up all in.

Espensen had 11,200 out in front of him from the cutoff when Ristola put in another raise to 25,000. The action folded back to Espensen quickly who proceeded to move all in over the top. Ristola folded his cards and Espensen picked up this pot without showdown.

Ristola is no stranger to playing big pots as he made the 2009 World Series of Poker Europe final table in London where he finished fifth. Ultimately that tournament was won by Barry Shulman who beat Daniel Negreanu heads up.
