Scommegna Doubles Back Into It

_DSC7817Filip Verboven raised to 100,000 preflop and Ruggiero Scommegna made the call. The flop was :::9s:::9h:::7s and it was checked to Verboven who bet 85,000. Scommegna then check-raised to 185,000 only for Verboven to three-bet the flop to 335,000, Scommegna thought for ten seconds and shoved, Verboven rechecked his cards then quickly called, the first all in of the night.

Verboven: :::Th:::9c
Scommegna: :::Qs:::6s

The turn was the :::8s, the absolute BEST card in the deck for the Italian as not only did it make his flush but it took away one Verboven’s full house outs (the :::Ts would make Scommegna a straight flush). The river was the :::Ks and Scommegna has doubled back up and retaken the chip lead.
