Setback for Backfjärd
Johan Backfjärd has suffered bit of setback in a blind-on-blind encounter with Lawrie Inman. It looked as though Inman had checked the turn, the board reading :::4c :::5d :::Ac :::7d and the pot already a mountain of yellow-green T5k chips. Duly, Backfjärd bet 96k – but Inman now check-raised all in, leading to a long dwell and ultimately a fold from Backfjärd. The Swede, one of just three remaining in this tournament (I know because Dan Glimne asks me roughly once an hour how many Swedes are left – hi Dan!), was left with roughly 350k – approximately 20-something big blinds, and considerably less than the 570k average now with 21 players left.
