Mr. Roy Brindley, with whom you must surely be familiar from such classic live broadcasts as Unibet Open Dublin, Unibet Open Riga and Unibet Open Prague, is doing a most unusual thing today – he is actually playing the tournament.
Yup, that’s right – the voice of the Unibet Open has never actually played one of these until today. Not one single Main Event. Not even a side event. No comment on how he’s done in the cash games. But here he is, at the tables in the Main Event, actually playing cards.
So far though, Roy’s first ever Unibet Open hasn’t really been going as planned. Turns out he got involved with T-J suited and decided to check-raise an 8-9-T flop; he then bet out on the A turn and bet out again on the blank river – only to find his opponent not going anywhere with a set of aces. He’s down to 7,500 now. Still recoverable, but admittedly a little precarious. Good luck, Roy!
