On Saturday, September 1, at 1 PM local time, the whole different kind of tournament will take place: Unibet Live Casino Tournament here at Casino Blankenberge. Fourteen online Unibet qualifiers will be participating in this special event, seven from Belgium and another seven have come over from The Netherlands.
The tournament will consist of six rounds of Blackjack and American Roulette. The first four rounds will be elimination rounds for all fourteen players and then there will be two Final Table rounds for seven players.
Both groups will play 2 rounds of Blackjack and 2 rounds of American Roulette in alternating order. Each Blackjack rounds consists of 14 hands and each Roulette round will be 14 spins.
At the beginning of a round, each player will start with 3,000 in chips for Blackjack and 1,200 in chips for Roulette, regardless of their previous wins or losses in other rounds.
Blackjack Elimination Rounds
The minimum bet is 50 and the maximum bet is 500. Doubling and splitting are allowed according to the normal but no side bets are permitted. The goal is to build up their chip stack or to lose less than their opponents to climb to the top of the leaderboard. A “dealer” button will be in play to minimize the advantage of position, which will start on the first box and move after each hand. The player on the button will also be the first to act.
Roulette Elimination Rounds
During the Roulette rounds, the players will be trying to build up their start stack of 1,200 during the 14 spins that need to be played. Each player will be assigned their own unique colour for their chips and can wager on any legal bet in accordance with the rules of the Casino. The minimum total bet on the table needs to be at the value of at least 50 in chips and the maximum that is allowed is 250.
Final Table
The 7 players with the fewest amount of chips on the leaderboard are automatically eliminated from the tournament. The 7 remaining players are starting with a fresh stack and the previous scores have no effect on that stack. They will play one Blackjack and one Roulette rounds which will each consist of 14 hands and 14 spins again. All seven players on the Final Table will win a prize according to their finishing position on the leaderboard:
