It’s said that when a man is tired of London, he is tired of life – but there’s no chance of that this November! Pack your umbrellas, make sure you’ve got a stiff upper lip to go with your poker face and prepare to have a jolly good time as the Unibet Open returns to the UK capital this winter.
Following our huge event there in 2012 when Pratik Ghatge bested a field of 315 players to take home £85,050, we are heading back to Aspers Casino Stratford this November 27-30 – and to celebrate this very special 30th edition of the Unibet Open, we’re increasing the cap to 500 players and guaranteeing a whopping €250,000 prize pool, making it our biggest and best event ever!
We’re proud once again to be working with Aspers Casino, located in the heart of hip East London. Aspers is the UK’s most popular super casino and winner of the European Operator of the Year award at the International Gaming Awards 2014 – a perfect partner for Unibet, winners of three awards in the poker, marketing and innovation categories at this year’s EGR Awards. Located just six minutes by high-speed rail link from St Pancras International station for Eurostar and other international rail services, Aspers couldn’t be easier to get to. It also boasts the largest poker room in London – good thing too, as we’re expecting to hit that cap with 500 runners representing 27 nationalities all taking their shot at getting themselves crowned the King of England.
In addition to the €1,000 + €100 NLH Main Event with a 30,000 starting stack and 60 minute clock, we’re laying on a full schedule of poker side events to suit all pockets. It’s not just about the gaming, either – to celebrate this very special 30th edition Unibet Open, we’ll be laying on plenty of entertainment including Welcome Drinks for all our players on November 27 and the legendary Unibet Open Players’ party on November 29.
Online satellites from freeroll all the way up to the weekly €250 final are running on Unibet from September 8 – November 16. All our qualifiers will receive a seat in the Main Event, four nights’ accommodation at a top London hotel, breakfast and dinner for the duration of the tournament and €300 in travel expenses – as well invitations to all the Unibet parties.
