There are only a couple of days remaining until the Prague leg of Unibet Open 2010 gets underway in one of the most beautiful historic cities in Europe, with four days of tournament poker starting with two flights of the €1,500 Main Event. Days 1A and 1B take players up to the weekend, when those who make it through their first days combine to play down through Sunday when a new Champion will be crowned. Fuat Can took down last year’s Prague event, winning €167,500 and it’s likely to be another bumper summer turnout in the Czech Republic this time round.
If you happen to be in the vicinity of the Hilton Hotel, and more specifically the Golden Prague Poker Room, at 7pm local time, there’s a €250 + €20 Super Satellite planned on the 4th of August (yes, this Wednesday) to allow the last competitive latecomers a final chance for a shot at the big prize. There are also a range of side events from Thursday’s €300 freezeout to the Maria Poker Ladies’ Night Event on Friday night, all the way through to Sunday’s final €100 event on the 8th August. The double start days allow every player – even those who make it all the way to the final table – a chance to see the famous sights Prague has to offer.
You can follow the action on the Live Reporting Blog (starting at 2pm daily as the first cards are dealt), or watch the feature table streaming from 4pm, with commentary from some of Unibet’s poker ambassadors and pros. Shout out your support, or check out the galleries for snaps of the tournament and, of course, the parties. Congratulations Unibet Open satellite winners, and good luck to all players heading for the felt this week!
