Staff member: Excuse me. Where is Table 19.
Me: I don’t know the table numbers. They’re not displaying the table numbers anywhere, but the player ID cards correspond to the players’ starting seats, and they’re all still in their original seats, so you can just look at their ID cards and work it out from those.
Staff member: Which one is Table 19? We are looking for a player.
Me: You can look at the player ID cards; they’re all still in their original seats so you can work it out from that. I can go look for you…
Staff member: No. We can’t do that. This. (Points to table number that the dealer has hidden on the floor under the table.) This is for a reason. We need to find Paul Valkenburg.
Me: (Points at Paul Valkenburg.) He’s over there.
Your blogger is confused. Nevertheless, Paul Valkenburg is now in his seat. I am assuming that that is Table 19.
