Uku Valner just lost huge pot in a situation where not many players would’ve gotten away from their strong holding. We’ll never know if his fold was right, but in hindsight poker always looks a lot easier than it actually is.
It was Valner who started out with a raise to 8,000 and no less than three players called including Tomas Fredrik Karvall in the small blind.
The hand was checked to the river when the board showed :::Ad:::8h:::Qc:::7h:::4s and Karvall bet 13,500 from the small blind. Valner raised it up to 42,000 and the other two players involved right away.
The action was now back on Karvall who tanked for quite a bit before moving all in for a total of 108,000. Valner was far from happy and eventually, after about two minutes, he folded his cards. Valner showed his :::4c:::4x as he threw away his cards and Karvall quietly raked in the pot.
Karvall now sits on around 190,000 chips while Valner has 110,000 left.
