Varlamov Cracks Aces with Kings
Former Unibet Open Troia winner Dmitry Varlamov just increased his chances of winning another title by knocking out Evgeniy Zhadan.
The action started on the Russian who raised to 35,000 under the gun and Zhadan three-bet to 75,000 two seats to his left. Quickly all the other players folded back to Varlamov who pulled his bet back only to put in 160,000 shortly after that.
Zhadan looked down at his stack before ultimately moving all in for 390,000 total and Varlamov snap-called.
Zhadan: :::Ac:::Ah
Varlamov: :::Kd:::Kh
The board ran out :::Kc:::5s:::4s:::2c:::Jc and the king on the flop gave Varlamov the winning hand. We’re now down to 14 players and Varlamov is among the chip leaders with around 1,150,000 chips.
