There is, as expected, a very strong French contingent here – among those showing for the host nation are Nicolas Dervaux, Xavier Detournel and Almira Skripchenko.
And as always, there are an awful lot of Dutchmen here – Loek van Wely, Pim van Wieringen and Mateusz Moolhuizen have all been spotted already. The most interesting table in the room at the moment features two very well known Dutchies – EPT Grand Final champion Pieter de Korver and last year’s Leaderboard winner Tim Verbon are sitting next to each other, and Swedish Unibet Open Barcelona runner up Davor Pavic is there as well – that’s our current favourite to be the first feature table. Also flying the flag for Sweden elsewhere in the building is former international footballer Tomas Brolin.
Another table we’ll be keeping a particularly close eye on features Pim van Riet and Unibet Ambassador Dan Glimne. Also somewhere in the sea of faces are Alex Rousso and EPT Monte Carlo finalist Aleh Plauski.
