Once again, we are starting the day close to capacity – it looks as though more than 215 players have registered already, and while a few of them haven’t arrived yet (the 11am shuttle from the hotel was packed out and no way could that accommodate 200 people), it’s already a bit of a struggle to get around between the tables.
Among those who managed to fight their way on to the 11am bus are Unibet Open Online winner Henrik Hecklen, Unibet Open Riga runner up Arkadiusz Olszowy and media room favourite, Unibet Open Malta finalist and erstwhile poker press member Rodolfo Gaddo.
Elsewhere, Unibet Open fixtures Roy Brindley and Soren Blanner are lurking, nursing coffees (these noon starts are killing us!), as well as French poker legend Alain Roy and two-time EPT Copenhagen finalist Rasmus Nielsen. Our early player list suggests that we will have a Table Of Death at some point – Unibet Open Golden Sands champion Dan Murariu and UO Prague champion Filip Verboven (pictured) are meant to be sitting next to each other, but so far only Verboven has shown up. So for the moment, we are declaring the table that features Mohammed Razab-Sekh and Rob Perelman the Table Most Likely To See Early Action.
