At 1 PM local time, Day 1b of the Unibet Poker Belgian Championship will start here at the beautiful Casino Blankenberge. Day 1a attracted 86 players yesterday and today is expected to be busier as there is another starting flight later tonight at 8 PM. Peyman Moradi claimed the chip lead for Day 1a with other familiar names like Pierre Neuville and David Lappin also bagging and tagging at the end of the day.
Just like yesterday, all players will receive 50,000 in chips for their €550 buy-in and have the opportunity to re-enter an unlimited amount of times in case they don’t win their final all-in (in case it’s needed). Twelve levels of play are scheduled once more with the late registration open until just after the 75-minute dinner break (8 PM).
Levels will last 45 minutes with 15-minutes breaks between some of the levels. Expected to join the fray today include Arne Coulier, Mateusz Moolhuizen, Ward de Bock, Gaelle Garcia Diaz, Charlotte van Brabander, Dehlia de Jong, Erik Verstappen, Sofie Thijs, Bart Verbanck, Ann-Roos Callens, Kevin De Man, Koen Lauwers, and Triffon Papas.
Yesterday’s satellite attracted 55 players again with 7 tickets up for grabs which were won by the following players: Kristof De Deken, Tim Verheyen, Karen Safaryan, Philippe De Schepper, Mathijs Janssen, Davy Huyst, Johnny Vandermael.
